You must completely and accurately fill-out this application to be considered for a Concealed Carry Weapon License. Any falsification of the information within this application is a crime and will result in the denial of the applicant’s Concealed Carry Weapon License request.

Authority

California Penal Code sections 26150 and 26155 provide that a Sheriff of a county or the Chief or other head of a municipal police department of any city, or city and county, may issue a license to carry a pistol, revolver, or other firearm capable of being concealed upon the person (Concealed Carry Weapon License). Who Shall be Issued a License

The licensing authority specified in Penal Code sections 26150 and 26155 (a Sheriff or the Chief or other head of a municipal police department) may issue a license to persons who are of good moral character and who have completed a course of training. All applicants for a Concealed Carry Weapon License will be fingerprinted and state and federal records will be checked to determine if they are eligible to possess firearms. Format and Duration of a Concealed Carry Weapon License

A California Concealed Carry Weapon License allows a person to carry a pistol, revolver, or other firearm capable of being concealed upon the person. A Standard Concealed Carry Weapon License is valid for 2 years and requires the completion of an 8-hour firearms training course prior to renewal.

Be prepared to scan the front and back of a valid California Driver’s License or California Identification Card. An applicant must have a current valid California driver’s license or identification with their current address, in compliance with Vehicle Code Section 14600(a), or any additional documents issued by the DMV that reflect their current address. No P.O. Box or business address is acceptable, unless the applicant participates in a program described in Chapter 3.1 of Division 7 of Title I of the Government Code (allowing address confidentiality for victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, and stalking) therefore providing the address designated to the applicant by the Secretary of State.
You must upload a copy of two of the following items showing proof of residency: a current vehicle registration, a recent utility bill (gas, water, electricity, cable/internet, or waste), and/or a notarized rental or lease agreement. These items must be in the applicant’s name; have the applicant’s current residence within the city of Los Angeles and cannot be past due. Utility bills listing a spouse’s name will accepted with proof of marriage or legal domestic partnership. Bank statements and cell phone bills will NOT be accepted. NO EXCEPTIONS!
